Yes, this is a picture of spoons, not cups, but the actual goodness you see on the spoon was made in a cup.
Okay not an actual cup, but mini muffin liners which look a bit like cups... Totally won you over then with my debating skills didn't I?
If I didn't consider these points:
and you can eat them with small spoons and feel like a giant. How awesome is that?
Super awesome if you ask me.
Sweet, marshmallowy success.
3 minute Marshmallow Cups
you will need:
-Large marshmallows
-Crunchy things: graham cracker bits, crushed pretzels, rice krispies, crushed cornflakes, cookie pieces, pecans or other nuts, ice cream cone pieces
-Melty things: nutella, peanut butter, chocolate, frosting, other nut butters
-Other? : toasted desiccated coconut, cinnamon, m & m's, crumbled cake, chopped snickers bar/ mars bar
-Mini muffin/ petit four paper liners
-Cookie tray
Turn on the grill/broiler in your oven at the highest temperature, put a rack in the middle of the oven.
Put a layer of something crunchy into the bottom of each mini muffin liner.
Top this layer with a small amount of something melty.
Cut a large marshmallow in half with a pair of scissors. Push a marshmallow half sticky-side down, into a filled mini muffin liner. Repeat until all the liners have a marshmallow, then put the liners on a cookie tray.
Put them in the oven, and grill/broil them until the marshmallow is golden brown on top (between 1 and 1 1/2 minutes).

ReplyDeleteThank you! I know, once I start thinking of all the possible combos, I can't stop!
DeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeleteThese look so delish and your photography is awesome! can't believe you are only 16 - v.impressive!
ReplyDeletehah, thanks :)
DeleteCan you make them with big cupcake liners mmmmmm
ReplyDeleteyeah, sure! that will maximise deliciousness!
DeleteIs there anyway this recipe could be changed so that you CAN microwave it? It looks delicious, but I can't use a oven right now and these sound like the perfect snack.
ReplyDeleteI think you probably can make it in the microwave, but I the marshmallow will just melt, not toast (which would still be delish!). I couldn't say what power you'd need to use or length of time though, I've never really used microwaves :/
